NEW SNU PRESIDENT
On Sunday July 18th 2010, at the close of the SNU AGM, Minister Duncan Gascoyne President of the SNU handed over the honour of serving the Union to the newly elected President Mr David Bruton (pictured above) formerly the Unions Finance Director. Minister Gascoyne had honourably served the Union for ten years and was the second longest serving president in the history of the Spiritualists' National Union

On Saturday November 6th, David Bruton OSNU will be attending and speaking at the District Ordinary General Meeting. This will be an opportunity for Churches and individual SNU member Spiritualists to ask questions directly to David.

Notices, Minutes etc. for the OGM will be received by 16th October.

Objects of the District Council. The objects of the district council shall be to further the objects of the Spiritualist's National Union within its area and in particular to promote the advancement and diffusion of the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism on the basis of the recognition of the Seven Principles.

The district council is the local administrative branch of the Union and performs such duties as may from time to time be delegated by the National Executive Committee.

Objects of the Church are as follows

1. The holding of religious services for public worship
2. The advancement of the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism
3. The training of all in the principles of the religion, religious philosophy and science of Spiritualism
4. The Church accepts the Seven Principles as set out in the Memorandum of Association
